ולא מיבעיא לא כתב ביה הנפק דאיכא למימר כתב ללות ולא לוה אלא אפי' כתב ביה הנפק דמקוים לא יחזיר דחיישינן לפירעון
— Raba says: The meaning [of the clause] is this: If a third person finds a bill which has already been in the hands of a judge, that is, when it bears a legal endorsement,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' The endorsement of the Court before which the witnesses verified their signatures, and which established the validity of the document.
